  6. I’m on a bus

On my way back to Orlando. I had a great weekend in Miami with friends, and I learned a few important lessons:

    1) to seek respect, not attention. It lasts longer.

    2) today’s weakness will be your strength of tomorrow.

I’m happy (: I have a feeling this will be a great summer.

And that’s that. Just a little update to get into the habit of going on tumblr more often hehe

PS- im listening to bohemian rhapsody by queen and it is way too trippy

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion, it is not the desire to mate every second minute of the day, it is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every cranny of your body.

  11. Like Crazy

I thought I understood it, that I could grasp it. But I didn’t, not really. Only the smudgeness of it; the pink-slippered, all-containered, semi-precious eagerness of it. I didn’t realize it would sometimes be more than whole, that the wholeness was a rather luxurious idea. Because it’s the halves that halve you in half. I didn’t know, don’t know, about the in-between bits; the gory bits of you, and the gory bits of me.

  14. Okay I promise

I’m not doing this again. This whole spamming your dashboards with posts because I’ve been absent from tumblr so much. Last time. Promise.

I am 2 days/2 exams away from summer and I’ve made it my goal to be a much more active blogger starting now. I don’t know if it’s the music I’m blasting in my room, or the wine, or the very emotionally charged weekend I just left behind me, but I’m so pumped for this summer. I was thinking of traveling…Really I could go anywhere I wanted, but I don’t want to travel alone. What are some cool places you’ve visited? Here’s a list of things I’ve recently added to my bucket list (inspired by Lonely Planet’s book The Big Trip):

    1. Swim with dolphins off the coast of New Zealand

    2. Teach English to children in Ghana

    3. Visit the best bars in the UK

    4. Go snorkeling in Hawaii

    5. Spend New Years in Paris

    6. Tend to orphan elephants in Sri Lanka

But since I don’t want to do any of that alone and I was just hired as a manager for Grassroots (hooray!!!…wow who uses that word anymore…), I decided I would spend this summer working on a book my professor encouraged me to start writing, as well as training to become an aerial silk performer…I know that sounds random, but it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ll post little updates of my book’s progress, I’d love to hear your feedback! And if you have any suggestions or ideas for my travel bucket list please feel free to share!
